Orthokeratology is a non-surgical myopia correction method

The lens used in Orthokeratology treatment is called an Ortho-k lens or OK lens. It is a Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP) lens and is usually worn at night and removed the next morning. It changes the shape of the cornea and corrects your vision for a certain period so you can have a comfortable vision without wearing anything after removing the Ortho-k lens. The correction is temporary therefore you have to wear the Ortho-k lens on a regular basis. On the other hand, you can quit the treatment anytime and the shape of the cornea is restored.

Lens Design

The shape of the cornea is different between Western people and Asian people. Usually, the cornea of Western people is more protruding compared to Asian people.
